BEMER PEMF Therapy
Improve circulation supporting the body’s natural self-regulating processes to improve your well-being and physical performance
What is BEMER Therapy?
BEMER is short for Bio-Electromagnetic Energy Regulation. The working mechanism of BEMER consists of the transmission of a patented multi-dimensionally configured signal (waveform). This unique signal is transmitted into the body via an electromagnetic field meaning that it is the BEMER signal and not the electromagnetic field that acts as the “agent” that stimulates the circulatory response.
BEMER is designed to improve circulation thereby supporting the body’s natural self-regulating processes. Blood is the body’s universal means of transportation. Oxygen, nutrients, chemical messengers (e.g., hormones) and immune cells are all transported through our blood. When our body’s cells, tissues and organs are adequately nourished and metabolic waste products are removed, our bodies maintain a healthy balance and function properly. The optimal regulation of circulation is a prerequisite for ensuring good levels of health and fitness.
What Does BEMER Therapy Do?
BEMER devices assist in ensuring the body is supplied with ample oxygen and nutrients by delivering a patented therapeutic signal using a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF). *
This signal targets impaired pumping of small vessels and stimulates vasomotion, a process in the microcirculatory system that promotes needs-based distribution of blood throughout the body.
Maintaining healthy microcirculation is essential for the cardiovascular system. BEMER devices are non-invasive and non-chemical and have been found to improve microcirculatory blood flow by up to 30%.

What Health Experts & Athletes Are Saying About BEMER PEMF Therapy
“I have been using the BEMER for about 4 months now and it has significantly improved my sleep and energy level.† I use it every night in sleep mode which helps me sleep more soundly and wake up feeling rejuvenated. I used to wake up feeling tired like I needed more sleep. I also use the BEMER before I work out and it gives me a boost of energy which motivates me to train at a higher intensity.”
“As a professional triathlete, my body is subject to enormous stress because I swim, bike, and run for over 30 hours every week. Having quality recovery is the only way I can sustain this lifestyle and and keep my immune system from crashing. My BEMER is a critical tool in my recovery protocol — it not only improves microcirculation to help repair tissue damage from training, but is probably also good for my bone health. I take it with me everywhere.”
“Whether I’m practicing on the field or training in the gym, my job is physically demanding every single day and using BEMER helps me recover quickly to avoid injury and be game-ready each week.”
BEMER Therapy FAQs
What is BEMER?
The working mechanism of BEMER consists of the transmission of a patented multi dimensionally configured signal (waveform). This unique signal is transmitted into the body via an electromagnetic field, meaning that it is the BEMER signal and not the electromagnetic field that acts as the “agent” that stimulates the circulatory response.
What are electromagnetic fields?
In general, wherever ions or electrons are moving, i.e. where electricity is flowing, a magnetic field arises perpendicular to the flow direction. This magnetic field in turn acts on electrically charged particles.
What does BEMER feel like?
Can I use the BEMER with metal implants, or should I consult my doctor first?
Can BEMER be used by people with electronic implants?
• Immunosuppressive therapy in consequence of transplantation.
• Immunosuppressive therapy in consequence of allogenic cellular transplantations or bone marrow stem cell transplantation. Other conditions often requiring immunosuppressive therapy, e.g. autoimmune diseases or dermatological diseases are not contraindications to the use of BEMER therapy. BEMER therapy application has to be cleared by physician in charge.
• Do not use the device if you have a diagnosed Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). • Active medical implants that lead to stimulation (e.g. pacemakers, defibrillators, brain stimulators, muscle stimulators) represent a relative contraindication. The use of BEMER therapy must be discussed with the patient’s attending physician.
• All active medical implants that are intended to administer medication (medication pumps) are an absolute contraindication and prohibit the use of BEMER therapy.
With active medical implants as a relative contraindication, it is imperative to ensure that the implantable device is compatible with BEMER use and operates as intended without interference. Implantable devices that are electric, magnetic, or electromagnetic have a threshold of exposure to electromagnetic energy that ensures operational safety. Therefore, it is important that the physician is aware of the output power of the BEMER as to ensure its use will not negatively impact the active implant or its functional operation.
The BEMER signal is emitted at a maximum average flux density (intensity) of 150 microTesla (µT) or 1.5 Gauss at the applicator surface and decreases exponentially with distance from its source.
If the doctor is not familiar with the maximum thresholds for electromagnetic exposure to the implantable device, the published guidelines from the device manufacturer should be referenced to ensure safety and efficacy of the active implant during BEMER use. This may guide the doctor in their decision about BEMER use with the patient’s active medical implant.
What are active medical implants and how do they differ from regular medical implants?
An active implant is generally any active medical device that is intended to be totally or partially introduced into the human body for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes, and which is intended to remain in place.
This includes pacemakers, defibrillators, brain stimulators, muscle stimulators etc. These are relative contraindications and their use with BEMER (at the same time) must be cleared by the doctor.
Insulin pumps, pain pumps or any other wearable or implanted pumps delivering medication, must NOT be used at the same time as BEMER Therapy. This is an absolute contraindication.
If a pump is not actively delivering medication to the body and is not near the BEMER user, then the contraindication does not apply.
What is a contraindication and what’s the difference between an absolute and a relative contraindication at BEMER?
A contraindication is a specific situation in which a medical device (in the case of BEMER) should not be used because it may be harmful to the person.
One type of contraindication, a relative contraindication, means that caution should be used when the device and another device, drug or procedures is used together.
The other type of contraindication, an absolute contraindication, means that that using the device and another device, drug or procedure is dangerous or even life-threatening and therefore must be avoided.

So does electricity flow into or through my body?
No. The device is subject to appropriate approvals in terms of the electrical safety of medical devices.
Certain diseases should only be treated by a doctor who is familiar with BEMER. Why is this?
The following diseases fall into this category:
A fever is actually not a disease but rather a defensive reaction. The cause of a fever must generally be identified by a doctor, because a fever is the body’s usual response to infections. The doctor will then decide if and how BEMER will be used.
Severe cardiac arrhythmias:
Severe cardiac arrhythmias can be life-threatening. First, the cause of the cardiac arrhythmias must be identified by a doctor. If the cause is a deficiency of certain minerals, these should be introduced prior to the application of BEMER, as otherwise the symptoms could worsen with the application of BEMER. Essentially, BEMER has a stabilizing effect on the cardiac rhythm. However, fear of the electromagnetic field can present a barrier to therapy, and may have undesired effects. Therefore, we recommend that the initial applications of BEMER be performed under a doctor’s supervision in the case of sever cardiac arrhythmias.
An aneurysm refers to a protrusion of a blood vessel as a result of vessel wall damage or disease. Badly damaged blood vessels can burst at any time and cause fatal internal bleeding. Since blood pressure can decrease under the influence of BEMER (if used correctly), this can alleviate the strain on the vessel wall. In the best case scenario, the probability that a blood vessel will burst can be minimized. BEMER has a stabilizing effect on the vessel wall in the long term. In particular, fear of the electromagnetic field can present a barrier to therapy and blood pressure may even rise temporarily. Therefore, for the safety of the patient, we recommend that the initial applications be performed under a doctor’s supervision who can reassure the patient and eliminate his or her fear.
Non-pharmaceutically-compensated seizure disorders:
If these seizures (especially epilepsy and schizophrenia) cannot be compensated by medications, we recommend that BEMER applications be performed under a doctor’s supervision for the safety of the patient.
